World of Diversity:
An Interdisciplinary Virtual Community
About World of Diversity Basic Help For Teachers For Students and Others Other Resources

World of Diversity was launched on November 1, 2001.  It is an alternative meeting space which has the capabilities to interweave audio, video, and images into already textually rich descriptions. World of Diversityis also dedicated to promoting diversity and encouraging collaboration across disciplines.  All disciplines are encouraged to participate and may build their own "Worlds".

At World of Diversity you can find on-line conferences, classes and/or individual students collaborating, virtual museums in a number of different disciplines and in a number of different languages, storytelling in Storybook Corner, an enchanted walk through Sherwood Forest, and our most recent endeavor, Culture Walks (virtual walking tours of different countries).  The list could go on and on, it is without limits!  Participation has included courses in Women's Studies, Foreign Languages, English, and Computer Programming.

World of Diversity is the perfect place to bring a class, collaborate with colleagues, have those virtual get-togethers, or just to experiment, try new things, and be creative.  On these pages you will find all of the information that you will need to learn about World of Diversity and how to become a member of this delightful community!  You need not be a only need to be interested in promoting diversity!

So explore these pages and if you should have any questions, or if you would like to become a member of World of Diversity please send an email to and I will get back with you within 24 hours.

Enjoy and we look forward to meeting you in our virtual space!
